The Flint River Watershed Coalition have secured 1,000 tree seedlings for Burton residents through a Michigan DNR grant.

The following seedlings will be available:

🌳Maples: Sugar, Red & October Glory

🌳Oaks: White & Bur

🌳Pines: Scotch, White, American Red

🌳Emerald Green Arborvitae 

🌳Lilac

Timeline:

1. Requests accepted until May 1st, 2025.

2. Every attempt will be made to distribute the requested trees. The amount of seedings to be provided to each requestor will be determined overall interest.

3. Tree seedling distribution will be coordinated as additional logistical details are provided.

Program Requirements:

• Requesting address must be in Burton

• Share a photo of the tree seedlings being planted.

• Share the total number of people involved with planting the tree seedling and overall time devoted to planting. A Google Form will be emailed by July 1st, 2025 asking for the requested information,
